In 2001, Lisa moved to Wilmington, North Carolina and completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Business Administration in 2004. She then moved to Norfolk, Virginia and began her career in law enforcement with the Norfolk Police Department.

From 2005-2007, Lisa was a Norfolk Police Officer assigned to the Second Patrol Division. In late 2007, she was transferred to the Vice and Narcotics Division as an Investigator. In 2010, Lisa began attending Regent University School of Law part time in pursuit of her Juris Doctor. In 2013, Lisa was transferred to the Task Force Officer position at the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Norfolk Field Office, where she ultimately finished her career in law enforcement. She graduated from Regent University School of Law in December 2014 and was licensed to practice law in Virginia in early 2015.

Since becoming a Family Law Attorney, Lisa has been involved in highly-contested divorce cases and has litigated numerous custody and visitation trials. Lisa is also a certified Guardian ad litem for children and serves on the Virginia Beach court-appointed list as a Court-Appointed Attorney for both civil and criminal matters.
Thanks to her earlier career in law enforcement, she knows the importance of research and detail. As an attorney, she knows the importance of getting to know the client and his or her goals, and then working to achieve those goals using the skills she’s honed from her former career. She’s known in the community as a no-nonsense advocate, and she’s well-respected among our family law colleagues.

In addition to the practice of law, Lisa was a Team Coach for the Norfolk Public Schools Mock Judiciary program in 2016 and 2017. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Norfolk Portsmouth Bar Association, the Chesapeake Bar Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves to travel. She enjoys spending time outdoors skiing, camping, and going to the beach.
