The Phillips & Peters’ team has a broad and diverse array of experience that we put to use to further client goals. From the inception of the firm, we intentionally set out to create an environment of team work amongst our attorneys and staff to best serve our clients.
Nancy M. Baker, Paralegal
Nancy grew up in Portsmouth but has lived in Suffolk for over 14 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University.
Nancy has worked in the legal field for over 30 years. She has 2 daughters and 3 granddaughters.
In addition to her paralegal duties, Nancy serves as Phillips & Peters’ office manager wherein she manages personnel, coordinates the firm’s various vendors and assists with creating and maintaining office policies and procedures.
Liene M. Hawkins, Paralegal
Liene graduated from Tidewater Community College with a degree in Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies in December 2006. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from Ashford University. She has worked in several areas of law including criminal, civil litigation, personal injury, and family law.
Liene grew up in Virginia Beach and continues to live near Sandbridge with her husband, Darius and four children and dogs. Liene is also a CASA Volunteer with the City of Virginia Beach Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and regularly volunteers time with Equikids in Virginia Beach.
Ashley F. Keil, Paralegal
Ashley received her Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Old Dominion University in May 2006. She began her legal assistant career in 2006 and has worked primarily in the family law sector since 2008.
Ashley is a life long resident of Chesapeake, where she currently resides with her daughter and her yellow lab. When not at work, she enjoys running in local races or spending time with friends and family.
Jackson Littlejohn, Administrative Assistant
Jackson is a native of Virginia Beach. He attended the Global Studies and World Languages Academy at Tallwood High School and graduated from Norfolk State University in 2016 with a Bachelor Degree in Political Science. His future plans are to attend law school. He enjoys cooking and writing computer programs in his free time. Jackson also volunteers for Virginia Beach EMT training sessions and with Special Olympics.
Leila A. Mills, Administrative Assistant
Leila was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area and loves blurring the lines between the 7 cities. After attending the Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Salem High School, Leila went on to earn a Bachelor Degree in Communication from Regent University. She has a passion for connecting people through stories and can always be found enjoying local events, festivals and new restaurants around town.
